How a claim becomes a case
TrueSeeker is the public reading room of the Claim Verifier pipeline: an automated investigation system built and operated by an independent journalist. Every case on the record went through the same four steps.
Ingestion
Claims arrive as text, links, screenshots, voice notes, or video, through a Telegram bot today and additional channels over time. Posts from X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and Facebook can be ingested directly from their links. Images are read, audio and video are transcribed, and the claim is extracted in neutral language.
Investigation
An AI investigator with live web search traces the claim backwards: who said it, what they cited, and what the strongest underlying evidence actually says. The investigation looks for the primary source: the original study, dataset, filing, or recording, not someone's summary of it.
Verdict
The finding is placed on an eight-level calibrated scale with a separately stated confidence level, and the specific distortions are tagged from an eleven-type taxonomy. The full reasoning, the evidence summary, and the complete source chain are recorded in the case file.
The record
Each case is saved to a permanent archive and appears here automatically. Case files are immutable: corrections create new versions rather than edits, and withdrawn cases stop resolving with a plain notice at their address. The record is never silently edited.
The wall
Nothing about how people read, share, or react to cases can ever influence a verdict, a source evaluation, or a confidence rating. This is a hard architectural rule in the pipeline, not a policy. The website keeps its side of the wall the same way: reading progress and field guide stamps live only in your browser, are never aggregated, and are never transmitted. There are no votes, no polls on truth, and no comment sections.
What the verdicts rest on
Verdicts are grounded in the traced source chain shown on every case page: you can walk the same chain yourself, from the post to the strongest underlying evidence. When the investigation cannot reach a primary source, the case says so plainly. When evidence is thin or conflicting, the verdict is Unverified or Inconclusive rather than a guess. Corrections
If you believe a case got something wrong, the correction route is to send the case link and your evidence through the verification bot. New evidence triggers a new investigation; if the finding changes, a new version of the case supersedes the old one with the change visible.
Limits, stated plainly
The investigator is an AI system with live web search, and its work is bounded by what is publicly findable at investigation time. Paywalled or offline evidence can be missed. That is why every case shows its chain, names its uncertainty, and can be superseded: the record is built to be checked, not believed on authority.
